We’re marked on the plan below by the star between Tal-y-Cafn and Llanrwst.
The easiest way to find us is to follow these directions, however if you want to explore the hills and farm tracks, then use your sat-nav!! (they are easily confused in this area)
From the South:
Taking the A5 going North, you come to Betws y Coed. Leave the A5 and take the A470 signposted Llandudno and Llanrwst. Firs Cottage is 8.5 miles from that junction. On the way you will pass through Llanrwst, we are 4 miles further on. PLEASE DO NOT try to enter our entrance by turning right!! Please go to the next lay-by, it has a speed camera warning sign. Turn there, it is a safer way of entering our drive as we are on a bend and traffic from Llandudno tends to use the A470 as a race track!
We are supplying two Grid references: the old version SH 78253 68202, and the new N53° 11.775 W3° 49.396. If your in-car navigation device can use a ‘grid ref’ then please use one of them as this should lead you to our front door. If your in-car navigation does not use the ‘grid ref’ then please do not use it once you reach the A470 or you will be exploring the local farm tracks and our postcode covers a very large area.
Phone if you have any problems!
From the North:
Take the A55 coastal expressway going West. At exit 19 signed Llandudno, Llanrwst and Betws y Coed, follow the A470 going South. After 6½ miles you will see a sign, Maenan. We are 150 metres along on the left and our house name and B&B sign on a rather battered empty bee-hive, will be clearly visible. Do not go off the A470 onto any side roads. See instructions above!
If you can’t find us, then please telephone.
This link will also take you to a Google Maps page where you can get directions and timings from further afield.
